The SES 3.4 Disc wheel features a disc brake specific carbon fiber rim design. In other words, this is not simply a rim brake model with no brake track surface. Each SES Disc rim features a disc brake specific laminate to ensure optimal performance on disc brake equipped road, cyclocross and triathlon bikes. As a result of disc brake specific engineering the SES 3.4 Disc is substantially lighter than its rim brake counterpart but equally as stiff and impact  resistant. This is accomplished because we are able to deploy the carbon fiber that previously served the requirements for heat management to now serve the requirements for stiffness and durability.

The SES 3.4 Disc has:

• Disc Specific construction with no brake tracks
• Rims are lighter by approximately 40-60 grams per rim
• Impact resistance has increased over the rim brake specific wheels
• Greater lateral stiffness
