As the geometries and spacing found on disc brake bike frames differs from the traditional rim brake predecessors, the design of the transmission and chain-line must take these differences into account to ensure optimum performance.
Campagnolo engineers have developed the H11 crank-set to ensure shifting is as crisp, clean and precise as any other group-set with rim brakes. This new crank-set design ensures excellent precision for 142mm rear spacing and does so without altering the Q factor.
Campagnolo's Extreme Performance Shifting System (XPSS) was specially developed to improve shift timing, and features a redesigned tooth profile to optimize their 11-speed operation. Thanks to the new chain-ring design, there are now eight sectors specialized for up-shifting, and two diametrically opposed sectors for downshifting. This makes instantaneous and precise shifting possible both up and down.
