Almost half of the Campagnolo factory effort has been given to the Record Chain development and manufacture you can see how important this 'little' component is, not to mention how serious Campagnolo are about getting it right. The chain is the part of the bike that is under the most load stress and it is for this reason that chain maintenance is so important. Obviously, a quality chain is a good starting point and will serve you better.
